Christina, a fourth-generation Japanese American, pays ​tribute to her family's heritage and entrepreneurial spirit through the name Yonsei, which signifies ​the fourth generation of her family to pursue entrepreneurship.

As a board member of The Japanese American Historical Society of San Diego and The Japanese American

Citizen’s League San Diego chapter, Christina acquired expertise in marketing, fundraising, and grant ​management. This background led her to a position at the prestigious UC San Diego Jacobs School of ​Engineering Major Gifts Department. Christina has crafted marketing strategies for charter yachts in San Diego, ​negotiating agreements with The Port of San Diego and some of the city's most luxurious hotels. Along the ​west coast and Baja California, Christina is an accomplished yachtswoman, having participated in The Newport ​to Ensenada International Yacht Race.
